Wanna Help?

A few people have asked, sent emails, called, etc. what they could possibly do to help us out.

Well, short of getting rid of this stupid cancer for me, something that would really help us out are gift cards to fast food restaurants. One of my friends sent us a McDonald's gift card and that has been fabulous. We used it on the way down here and will use it on the way home also.

Something else that would be helpful are dinners for when we are at home. At this time we have no idea how I will feel, but since I don't feel like cooking when I feel well, I am guessing I won't feel like cooking when I feel awful:)

Another idea are snack foods. I'm a major snacker. I love things like cookies, crackers, and chips.

We would also appreciate books, magazines and books on tape. So if any of you have those laying around your house that you think Cody and I would like, bring them over! I checked out some books on tape from the library for this trip, but so far my choices suck!:(

Thank you for all of your support and love. I am trying really hard to stay positive. At times I get upset, but I read your comments or your emails and it renews my strength. Thank you for that. It's hard to keep a positive outlook at all times when you are going through all this. Thank you for reminding me that you are all out there, thinking about me and my family and praying for us. I can do this. I will beat this. I will be around for many, many years.

Just came across your blog. Sorry to hear your cancer has spread. Keep the chin up. Dealing with this disease has many ups and downs. I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer 6 six years ago and I'm still here despite the percentages.

Something just for thought. There is an alternative therapy for different types cancer that has worked very well for alot of people. It is so simple it blows your mind. It's IV Vitamin C therapy. Your body can handle much more vitamin c through iv than orally. There are doctors around the country that are joining the bandwagon on this. I myself have not been able to take part in this therapy because of kidney problems - the only thing that is stopping me. To me even though I couldn't do it. It was definitely worth checking into.

Praying for you.

I'm an expert on books on tape, and I know the library selections suck. Cracker Barrel lets you "rent" them in a sense. You pay for it, listen to it, then return to any Crackel Barrel within so many weeks and get a refund minus like $4. That way you can pick what you want.

I'll be in touch with you to bring some stuff down to you soon.

And I had to laugh at the snack, a huge snacker? That may be an understatement!!!

Safe travels home!!!

Have you read the Twilight series? (I think you did, but I might be wrong.) If not, I could loan them to you. I have the first three, but am waiting to buy the 4th.

I wish I lived close enough that I could make you a nice warm meal and bring it over.

I am praying for you, and think of you every day!

Heather, I have some food coming today from Schwans for you. I'm going to bring it up to you hopefully this weekend. It's easy frozen stuff like pizzas, corndogs, lasagna, and stuff like that. I will call before I stop by with it all!

Hope all goes well today. Drive safe and we'll see you soon!

I just finished it and cried a few too many times to admit. Its a Christian novel based on the book of Hosea.

I just came across your blog and it has really touched me. I am having two suspicious moles removed next week and to be completely honest I'm a little nervous about it! I am definitely finding inspiration in your blog and think it's amazing how strong you are being for those 2 precious children you have. I am also located in KS, Topeka to be exact. Please let me know if there is anything you need for yourself or your family!!

Praying for you,

These are free audiobooks that you do not even have to go to the library to get.

Crap, Heather. Crap. I just caught up with everything. Your attitude is just amazing, though. Your strength has grown so much in the last 8 months.

I have a trunk full of books that were going to Goodwill. Let me know if you want me to send you a list of titles- I can pull out whatever you'd like.
