Home Alone!!

Ok, well I am not exactly "Home Alone", Cody is here, but I have no kids and no dogs. This week Cody had to head to Minnesota for work so mom came down to hang out with me and the kids. Mom and I got to talking and she had the idea to take the kids home with her on Friday since Cody and I will be up there on Saturday for Easter. At first I was all for it-a full night of sleep-how awesome would that be! Then I started second guessing myself-a full night without my babies-how hard would that be! Eventually, the idea of a full night of sleep won me over! After mom left, Cody and I just sort of looked at each other, like now what do we do. So, he decided to take a nap and I decided to clean the house. Good times huh! After he woke up we went to Newton to go to the Carter's Outlet. It was definitely worth the trip. I got Ella around 20 outfits and Kyler 5 shirts and a diaper bag for $70. I thought that was pretty good. We then headed to Bradley Fair to hit the Gap (I love the Gap!), then we headed back to Derby to eat at a new bar here in town, Madrocks. I had been wanting to go but didn't want to bring the kids to a bar, even though it is smoke-free. At Madrocks, Cody enjoyed a beer (or two) and I had a Strawberry Daiquiri-YUMMY! I haven't had one of those in over a year. Then we headed home and I finished cleaning the house then we went to bed around 9:30 and I actually was able to sleep until 7:30am. I definitely had to pump when I got up though! I'm not used to going a whole night without nursing Ella.

Oh yeah, somewhere in there Grandma and Grandpa Snyder stopped by and picked up Belle so she could stay with them while we are at my folks house. Poor Belle has been a little depressed since Otis is gone so hopefully hanging out with Charlie, Grandma and Grandpa Snyder's huge black lab, will help her.

Hangin' with the girls

Rogue is holding onto Ella's hand.

Rogue, Ella, and Harleigh hanging out.

Ella and Harleigh

This weekend we all headed to Emporia to meet my parents, Adriane, Jacob, and Jennifer for lunch at my favorite eating place-Bruff's! I just love their cheddar cheese balls. I don't think Ella enjoyed them as well as I did though. Her tummy has been a little upset since then. Sorry Ella. After lunch we headed to Neosho Rapids to meet up with our friends The Toepfers and meet their twin baby girls, Harleigh and Rogue. It was great to just sit and catch up with them. We haven't seen them in several years so we have really missed hanging out with them. Ella seemed to really like having baby girls to hang out with and Kyler had a blast chasing Jet, 3, around the house and dragging his toys into the living room! I was so happy to see that all the kids were able to "play" together so well. Kyler is still asking where Jet is and if Jet can come and play so I do believe Kyler enjoyed himself! Now if we can just convince them to move to Wichita!!:)
