What's My Style?

If you head over to 3 Boys 24/7 blog she has a link to see what your "Mothering Style" is. I have to admit, I was curious. So I took the quiz. Turns out I am The "Tender Loving Care" Mother:

Hmmmm., who knew:)

“I want my children to feel they have an ally, someone who knows them completely. I want to be a haven for them.”

Gentle and kind, the ISFJ mother provides her children with generous amounts of tenderness, affection, and the comfort of daily routine. Her aim is to “be there” for her children, physically and emotionally. She is sensitive to their feelings, offering closeness, understanding, and quiet support.
I told you I just love to cuddle with my baby girl. I do love a routine, however I am really struggling with getting Ella on one. What's that all about?!
Loyal and devoted, the ISFJ mother has a strong sense of duty and consistently puts her children’s needs first. She delights in taking care of the little things that matter to a child, making each one feel loved and special.
Why just today I knew it would make Kyler happy to have Cheetos for lunch, so I let him. See, always doing those little things to make him feel loved and special:)
To provide her family with security and warmth, the ISFJ mother tends to the practical and domestic, aiming for a smooth-running household and an attractive home. She also observes and conveys the value and importance of family traditions.
Domestic? Does that involve cooking?

The fabulous McMommy is hosting a Pow-Wow over at her blog. If you haven't visited McMommy, you simply must. She is absolutely wonderful.

Today while the babes were taking a nap I decided to sneak in an ice cream sandwich. You see, I don't let Kyler eat junk food very often so I have to sneak in my junk food during nap time. Kyler chose that time to wake up from his nap. I was BUSTED! Crap, now what should I do? Hide the ice cream sandwich in the couch cushions? No, to messy. Run and stick in the freezer? Nope, to slow. Share some with him? Oh, ok. I put what was left of my ice cream sandwich (no, seriously I gave him the rest) in a bowl and gave him a spoon and left him to eat his (mine) ice cream in peace. When I came back a few minutes later he had found some Pringles left over from lunch and was dipping them in the ice cream and sucking it off. I swear I gave him a spoon. What a creative young man:)

Who needs a spoon when you have Pringles?

32 Years and Counting

Can you believe that my folks have been married for 32 years today? It seems like just yesterday those crazy kids were running around causing trouble...oh wait a minute, maybe that was me. Anywoo, Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad. Enjoy your dinner out tonight, and be thankful that dad didn't buy you a monkey that dances the Macarena:) (Yes, he did that one year-isn't he cute!)

First Food

What the heck are you trying to feed me, mama?

Mmmmm, fingers and cereal.

Here mommy, let me do it.

Full and Satisfied! Can't beat that!

Last night was a rough night at the Snyder House. Ella decided that she did not require as much sleep as her mommy and daddy and therefore wanted us to entertain her. I, however, was not in the partying mood. I was in the sleeping mood! Needless to say, mama is quite tired today. Due to last night's constant feeding, I made the executive decision that Miss Ella was ready to give some cereal a try. We only did 1 tablespoon of cereal for today, but I figured since Kyler had such a hard time with cereal (major constipation issues-sorry Kyler of the Future) we would just take it slowly. The first few bites she looked at me like I had lost my mind! After a few bites she sort of got into in it, but was still unsure of it. I just love those faces they make when they eat something new. She cracked me up the whole time. It probably didn't help that I was snapping pictures the whole time!

We Got That Lovin' Feelin'

Well Kyler, if you can't hold me, will you at least hold my hand?

Lately Kyler has been wanting to hold Ella. I mean, constantly wanting to hold Ella. As in, Mommy can't hold Ella because Kyler wants to. I am VERY happy that he loves his little sis and all, but seriously Kyler, she weighs almost as much as you do! This morning when he was attempting to hold her, but couldn't because she weighs to much so really she was just sitting beside him kind of thing, I snapped these incredibly cute pictures. Apparently Ella still feels the love!

Oh So Sweet

Doesn't she just look cute enough to eat?!

To bad I couldn't get her to smile!

Playground Fun

I'm almost to my favorite part-the top!

Weee, I love twisty, turny slides!

Dig, dig, dig. I hope I can find that buried treasure soon, my arms are getting tired!

Today Daddy and Kyler went to the playground near our house to have a little boy time. Before Ella came along Kyler was a TOTAL mama's boy. Now mama spends most of the day nursing Ella so therefore Kyler has been, well, forced to spend more time with Daddy. I do miss those, "I want my mama," days, however the bond that they are forming will last a life time and I love that.
