Then and Now

Almost 9 months ago today (I'm a few days late-hey, don't judge, I have kids you know!) I had a 3D ultrasound taken of Ella. I did this with Kyler, however I did it on his due date. Why on his due date? Honestly, not a clue. Just never thought about doing it before then. Little did I know that he wouldn't arrive for another week. Ok, so I am getting sidetracked now. Back to what I was saying.

Almost 9 months ago today, Cody and I headed to Babywaves to have a 3D ultrasound done because I just couldn't wait any longer to see what this baby looked like. We had already had the regular 2D ultrasounds at the Dr's office and they told us she was a girl, but I wasn't 100% convinced, and if we were going to do this to her room, I wanted to be positive that she was a girl!

As I was looking back at the 3D ultrasound I am so glad that we did this. She really did look like her 3D ultrasound when she was born.
But boy, has she changed!

She's no longer my 6lb 13 oz newborn baby girl :(

She no longer likes to be swaddled when she sleeps.

She no longer has to take baths in the sink.

Nope, now she's a 17lb chunky 5 1/2 month old big girl!

Ella-please quit growing up so fast. Mommy can't handle it!

It's Real Life

Jessica, over at Farm Fresh Iowa, is hosting a "It's Real Life" Party.

I have to take pictures of

curb appeal

junk drawer

place where I blog

fav piece of jewelry

best feature

How's this for curb appeal? Doesn't that just make you want to come right inside? No? Well, how about this....

Is this better? This is the walkway up to our front door. Go Hornets. (Not Gorillas Amanda!!)

Yikes! I MUST clean out the junk drawer!

This is one of my favorite spots in the house (other then my king sized bed that is!). I blog here, I nurse here, I pump here, I rock Ella to sleep here, I watch TV here.... Get the picture! I LOVE this chair!

I don't wear much jewelry. Not because I don't like it, I love it. However, when Kyler was about 4 months old he discovered that he also liked it and would always yank on my necklaces. I have discovered that Ella enjoys this little game also so now I only wear two pieces of jewelry, my wedding ring (above) and my mother's ring.

Hey Dad- Quit reading now. Um, yeah, thanks.
I asked the hubby what my best feature was, and guess what he said-yep, you guessed it, since I am nursing Ella, my, um, chest is quite endowed. Since I don't feel all that comfortable with putting those on the internet-I am so NOT Paris Hilton, I decided that everyone seemed to comment on my teeth on this post and since I feel a lot better about putting those on the internet, here is a picture of me showing off my lovely teeth!
Thanks for all the wonderful comments-I was thinking about whitening them-you guys saved me money-my husband thanks you for that:)

She Likes It!

My Grandma, Ella's Great-Grandma, got Ella this sweet new bouncer.

I think she likes it!
Thanks Great-Grandma!

Pool Time Fun

Last week when my mom was visiting she bought the kids a new pool and a new wagon. We have been enjoying the wagon every night as we take our evening walks.

The pool, however, was still in the box. Not because it's been to cool for the pool, nope that's not it, it was more because I don't know how to work the air compressor and I'll be damned if I'm blowing it up by mouth. Sorry kids, I love you, but apparently not enough!
Yesterday Daddy got home a little earlier than normal so he was nice enough to get the pool out of the box, hooked the compressor up to it and then put some water in it. Kyler couldn't have been happier. But boy was he ticked when Daddy dumped the water out last night!
It's a little chilly mom!
Well, maybe it's not so bad after all!

How freakin' adorable is Ella in her little bikini!

Weeeeeee, this itty bitty slide is pretty cool!

Come on mom, get in here!

Check out Kyler's ribs! Damn, he's a skinny little thing!

Come on Belle, hop in!

Whatta Think?

I don't usually do things for myself. I don't usually have the time or the money to waste on things like, oh let's say, my hair!

Before Ella I would very faithfully get my hair highlighted every three months. Then Ella came along and I just didn't have the time anymore.

Since I am in two weddings this summer I thought that maybe I should update my highlights. I absolutely LOVE the girl that does my hair. She does a FABULOUS job.

So tell me, whatta think of my new do.....

I don't know if it was the products, the color, or this wonderful straightener, but I absolutely LOVE my hair! Now, let's just hope I can do the same thing!which by the way I came home and bought-shhhh, don't tell my hubby!

Do You Likey?

So some of you got to see my new diggs before I did, but what do you think? Don't you just love the new layout?! I totally LOVE it!

Judi from Doodlebugs Designs worked her poor little bootie off just for me. I never considered myself a technology challenged person, until I started blogging! Luckily, Judi was very patient and understanding with me. Thank you Judi for all of your hard work. My blog looks so darn pretty now!
