A Movie with Friends

My fellow Edward lovers, Kerry and Jodi.
Yes, we are kind of silly, but that's ok:)
Yesterday Cody took a vacation day so that I was able to go check out my new obsession-Edward Cullen! The movie started out a little cheesy, but by the end I had forgiven Edward for being cheesy and was falling in lust with him all over again!
Huge thank yous ladies for a wonderful afternoon.

A Meeting With Santa

Kyler did excellent with Santa. He even told him that he wanted the Mickey Mouse Speedway for Christmas.Ella did not care so much for Santa. Hence the reason I am in the picture! Ella would not even consider going to that big scary man with the beard!
Ella found the fake food (of course!)

And the pan. One of these days she is going to be a fabulous cook!

Last night we took the kids to see Santa.
Our Parents As Teachers group has free visits with Santa. We have taken Kyler every year so it has sort of turned into a tradition. I debated going this year because of all the germs.
My white blood cells are really low so I can't risk getting sick. After a lot of debating in my head about whether or not to go, tradition won out. We went. Why should I let cancer win? This is something that we have done every year. Why should cancer be able to take that away from me too? (That's not to say that we didn't all de-germ when we got home though!)
While we were there I met a mom who had a little boy Kyler's age and a little girl a few months older then Ella. I had seen this mom before but never really had the opportunity to talk to her.
As I was chasing the kids around, I noticed that she was sitting in the corner nursing her 14 month old daughter. A year ago I would have judged her. Now, a year later, I wanted to be her! I haven't nursed Ella since August 11th and I still miss it. Every time I see someone nursing their little one I get a pang in my chest. Silly isn't it? I should be over this. Will this longing ever go away? Will I ever get over this?
It's just one more thing that cancer has stolen from me. Stupid cancer.

The Christmas Spirit

It's beginning to look a little like Christmas at our house. I enjoy decorating for Christmas, however, I can't stand the clutter of Christmas. It drives me insane!

Even though our house is not totally decked out in the Christmas spirit, I thought I would show you a few pictures of what is happening at our house.

In the kitchen above the cabinets.
By the front door.

On the front door.

Our downstairs Christmas tree.

Our upstairs Christmas tree.

A couple of you have asked how Ella has done with the tree, and she has done fabulous. I put the little ones up about a week before the big one just to see how she would do and at first she went over, touched them, looked at me, looked at the trees and went and played with her toys. So far, so good!

Almost Wordless Wednesday

I am not amused!
Any guesses what we are working on at our house?
We aren't stressing about it to much. It will happen when it happens. I'm honestly not in any huge hurry. We use cloth most of the time so diapers aren't costing use any money (any more!) so I figure we might as well wait until he is ready. I'm not sure I can handle the stress of forcing him!

Mommy and Baby Deegan

Ella is a natural cowgirl!

Look at all these toys! And Ella loves to carry around the container of plastic food!
Best $10 I ever spent!
So easy to amuse!

Bit of a Break

Dear My Faithful Blog Readers,

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately.

Some has to do with Thanksgiving and being away from my computer.

But, if I must be completely honest with you, I have found a new love. His name is Edward and I am pretty sure we are meant to be. If I can figure out how to get rid of Bella, all will be right in the world. I am not sure how my children (and my husband) will fit into his world, but we will make it work.

I am launching a plan to run away with him as I type. Please don't tell my husband. Or Bella.
If it doesn't work out with Edward I will be back. Probably in a few days.

PS. For those of you not in the know, I am ADDICTED to this book. I can't wait to read the other 3 in the series. And, I'm not really running away with Edward. You can relax Dad. And Cody!
