Less Than A Week

In less that one week my baby girl will turn one.

I am sort of freaking out. Although, she has been doing things that most one year olds do since about 9 months, it's the pure fact that she will be ONE!

My Little Miss Independent is aging right before my eyes. And I don't like it.

I want her to be my baby girl forever.

When Kyler turned one I was excited. I knew all the milestones that he was going to accomplish within that year and I was thrilled for him.

When he turned 2 I bawled! I mean bawled!

When he turned 3 I was excited again.

Does that mean at 4 I will cry? Probably!

I love my children more than anything in the world. The pure thought of them growing up and possibly not needing me anymore totally freaks me out.

I am pretty sure that Kyler will always need his mama. That's just how he is.

Ella on the other hand doesn't even seem to need me now! She is so independent.

Wish me luck on Thursday. My baby girl will be one.

What a "One"derful Princess

The day after Christmas we celebrated Ella's 1st birthday with my family. (She turns one on January 8th-yikes!)

She looked absolutely adorable in her pink tutu. Someday she will hate me for it though!

I have never really been into cooking or baking, but just recently I have discovered that it is quite enjoyable. Something that I really wanted to do for Ella was make her cake. It took a few tries, but I thought it turned out pretty good for someone who doesn't bake!

My pretty princess!

I have no idea what she is doing here. Other than looking cute, of course:)

Ella did fabulous with her cake. She didn't even make a mess! That's my girl!

Family Christmas Fun

After the kids opened their presents at our house on Christmas Eve we headed to Cody's parents house for more present opening, eating, talking, playing, and of course, church. It was a wonderful Christmas Eve Day.

On Christmas morning we woke up early and headed to my parents house.

An Unexpected Zoo Trip

Yesterday the weather was beautiful here in good ole' KS so we decided that we should get the kids out and do something fun. We had intended on going to Exploration Place, however, it was closed. So what is the next best thing? The zoo of course! We all had a great time walking around the zoo and checking out the animals.

It isn't very often that you get to enjoy the zoo in December. Thanks kids for a wonderful day!

Christmas Eve Morning

This year Santa came to our house on Christmas Eve.

It took some special doing and lots of letters to Santa, but I finally convinced him to come to our house on Christmas Eve because we would be heading out of town early on Christmas Day. I guess I gave a pretty convincing argument because he agreed:)

Thanks Santa!

Isn't he a handsome young man! I could seriously kiss those cheeks ALL DAY LONG!!

Deegan's Baptism

A couple of weeks ago we had a Baptism for Baby Deegan in Nebraska. It was wonderful to be surrounded by family for such a joyous occasion, but holy smokes was it cold! The temperature gauge on the car said -2!! I'm pretty sure we all about froze to death!

I feel very blessed to, not only be Deegan's favorite Aunt :), but also his Godparent. Thank you Jacki and Chris for asking us to play such an important role in Deegan's life.
