Low, Low, and Lower

Every Tuesday and Friday I have the distinct pleasure of heading to the Dr's office to have blood drawn. Since I have the PICC line it's really not that bad. Kyler comes with me and he gets a sticker and then we head to McDonald's for some breakfast.

The scary part of all of it is getting the results. I, of course, hope and pray that my white blood cells, red blood cells, hemoglobin, platelets, etc are going up, but unfortunately that is not always the case. As was today.

Tuesday my hemoglobin was 8.46, under an eight I have to have a blood transfusion. Today my count was 8.01. My argument was it's still not under an 8. However, since it's so close I lost. So, here I sit, waiting to have someone else's blood put into my body. The thought sort of freaks me out. It's not supposed to be painful, and supposedly I will feel better afterwards. But seriously, someone else's blood? But, what can I do? Nothing. Like always, I can do nothing. Most of you know, I am a control freak. Having no control over pretty much everything in my life totally sucks. Once I kick cancer's ass, look out, because I am going to control the world! I think I deserve it, right?

Not Quite A Wordless Wednesday

A couple weeks ago we had a playdate with out friends. Kyler loves playing with his buddy Hunter.
Ella loves showing Kira how to do things!

Kyler loves to playing with his paint in the bathtub.

Cheese!

Deegan, Ella, and Kyler posing for a family picture.

I feel very blessed to have a sister that I am very close to. I pray that our children will become the best of friends as they grow older.

A Kid Again Kind Of Day

Lately, when Ella naps I have also been trying to nap. The kicker is Kyler. He just doesn't want to leave my side. The one thing that he does love to do though is go to Target. He LOVES Target! I know, I know, not good huh!

But when it comes that time for me to nap, one sure way to get him out of the house and keep him happy is to take him to his favorite store. When Mama or Grandma takes him he usually comes home with all kinds of goodies. When Daddy takes him, they stick to the list. However, this last trip Daddy was a sucker and he splurged. Kyler got a slip n' slide. I am thinking this was more for Daddy, but whatever. They all had a blast!

They were slipping and sliding, eating homemade popsicles, and puffy Cheetos. What a fabulous day!

Homemade Popsicles! Yum-O! To bad Ella was eating it from the wrong end!Little stinker, she stole my Gatorade.

Maybe this will fatten him up!

Ella enjoyed the pool at the end way more than the slipping and sliding part.

Daddy had to throw Kyler down the slip n slide.

Even Daddy enjoyed a little of the sliding fun!

Wet N Wild (sort of)

Something that my kids love to do is play outside in the sprinkler. This is tough for me. For one, I have a difficult time being outside since I do have skin cancer and all. For another, I am constantly thinking about the kids getting skin cancer. They get so mad at me when I am putting sunscreen on them every 30 minutes!

But, none the less, they are kids and they do love to be outside. So, armed with the sunscreen and the sprinkler we hit the backyard. The water was a little chilly, but they enjoyed watching daddy get soaked!

Yep, he's really that skinny!
Hee, hee, hee, look at Daddy being silly.

You want me to do what? There is no way I am getting in that cold water!
